To brave hibernal temperatures, fashion-aware ladies dressed in luxurious coats, which often not only were edged with fur (like our reproduction), but used to be lined with fur entirely. Favoured and sought-after were ermine and sable for they were regarded as highly prestigious. However, in the course of returning to naturalness, fox fur found its way back into fashion.
The fur we used stems from wild Swiss red foxes.

The coat is lined with white silk satin, covered with glacier blue taffeta and fastens with high-quality MOKUBA ribbons. To add a practical usage and make it more than a mere accessory, the coat has been padded.
Also the pattern needs pointing out, as the whole piece was cut in one, which means it sports no shoulder seams.
