Grand Habit 3rd Quarter

according to a court suit of Tsar Alexander I. (right)

This splendid suit follows the Grand Habit of Alexander Pavlovitch (the later Tsar Alexander I.) of 1784 (right), though it was realised with an older pattern and with a darker fabric, according to the wishes of our customer.
However, the embroidery was reproduced in detail, applying the most impressive hand work.

We have adopted both the delightful melange of gold and silver threads and the fragile floral pattern. As it was most probably intended, the embroidery is particularly beautiful when capturing candle light.

In combination with the embroidery, the special fabric gives the suit its magnificience..
Pure silk was used, woven in a remarkable pattern - typical for the 18th century. It appears in dark berry colours and charming light lavender.
