Grand Habit (I) 4th Quarter

The waistcoat consists of dove coloured silk taffeta with fine woven stripes.
Well noticeable: the artistic hand embroidery revealing cornflowers and ears.

The silk we used for the habit and breeches was woven following an historical pattern, and it perfectly matches the floral embroidery.

The suit is lined with iridescent pure silk taffeta, which is woven in two colours (dove and bronze).Particularly eye-catching on court robes like this are the embroidered cuffs, the back and the pockets. Not less majestic is the entire view of the habit. It was much favoured even to have the knee strap embroidered, and to close them with a knee buckle (this one is a replica of an original piece dating from the 18th century).
