This is a wonderful representative of the artistic use of richly patterned silks. As the original (see last picture) shows, these flashy silks were very fashionable!

This suit is characterised by its delightful fabric, which is a replica of a pattern from the Louis Seize century, full silk, of course.
The waistcoat is covered with finest hand embroidery.
It was a special pleasure for us to use original Alencon lace from the 18th century for jabot and sleeves!
Here, the assimilation of a contemporary museum piece becomes evident.
