The Early Victorian Age was characterised by a withdrawal to the idyllic atmosphere of civilian and family life. Therefore the fashion appeared romantic, but upright, expressive but also individual, and therefore individual, though it has influenced bridal fashion up to this day.

Therefore sky blue silk taffeta was used for this dress. Just like in the original, the sleeves are made of fine lace and blue ribbons.
On special request, a rose bunch is attached to the bodice.
The pleats of the skirt as well as the pattern of the bodice and its applications correspond to the contemporary sources.
The dress can be varied in the way of wearing it, by gathering up the two-layered skirt. Where gathered, the dress is decorated with additional rose bunches.
The lower part is covered by embroidered silk organza.

As you might notice, this ball gown follows every detail of the original Early Victorian ball gown, and was realized with the use of nothing but historical patterns.
It completely consists of finest silk, whereas every single rose and leaf is hand made.They cover the neckline, the sleeves and the splendid skirt. The silk is used in two layers all over the dress.

The bodice with rose bouquets and leave draperies, following an historical pattern (look at the seams!). The bodice is whale-boned, in addition to the corset. The neckline is framed with fine lace. Just like on the original, the leaf draperies seek to imitate ivy.

Based on an original cut of the 19th century the dress is given shape by a contemporary crinoline and a petticoat.
We used burgundy red velvet as material.The black blouse has a collar made of fine elgant black lace and the jacket´s sleeves are decorated with an authentic pattern.
