With this competent staff we have been active since 1999 and manufacture historical clothing on an exceptional high authentic level. However, the interest in history, in arts and music emerged much earlier. We regard fashion history as a field of art no lesser than music or architecture, as it was bestowed with no lesser attention throughout the centuries.
Mauritia Katharina Petra Kirchner, born 1959
Managing Director, Producer
After the German Abitur in 1978 she first decided to follow a different career, which led her to destinations all over the world. Over the years a vision became into sharper focus, so she founded Reine des Centfeuilles in 1999, and set a new standard with her work.
The secret of the success, which stands behind the reproductions of Reine des Centfeuilles, are three basic features which she possesses. An almost inexhaustible creative potential- which is to know, what a proper realisation ought to look like-, a tireless determination- which is to avoid no diffuculties for even the smalles detail -, and an intuitive craft skill - which is to implement these features for a result as dictated by history.
Besides the studies of fashion history she devotes herself to collecting antiques. Moreover she is interested in collecting Haendels opera works.
Ricarda Wienert, born 1981
Tailor
Ricarda is an accomplished tailor with completed studies at the University of Leipzig and Dresden.
She has made wide experience in manufacturing of theatre costumes at several German houses.
First it was to be taught in working with us as a trainee; but we have recognized that Ricarda has such a great talent in design and manufacturing of historical garments, that we gladly have extended our working contract.
