Reine des Centfeuilles - Historical clothing
The name "REINE DES CENTFEUILLES" (eng. = "Queen of a hundred leaves ") derives from a historical rose, which was mentioned first in 1824. The rose has ever since been the essence of beauty and purity, but also for unveiled mysteries. Due to her strong symbolism it is referred to as "Queen of flowers". For us, it is the perfect methaphor for the elegance and grace of historical clothing.
Our Philosophie.....
During our almost 6 years of existence, our major focus and field of expertise has shifted to later periods, the 18th century in particular, for hardly any other period produced such a variety of extravagant, tasteful, sometimes eccentric, but always stylishly unerring clothing. Each one posseses a new and attracting challenge, so it has become the most interesting area for us to use our talents for.
The motivation...
Robes making history, provoking scandals, fashion creating new fashion, robes, being worn at royal courts- the fascination, to watch these masterpieces coming to life again has become the basis of our work.
The only one ...
Moreover we are guided by the ambition to exceed borders and accomplish something extraordinary. As pioneer we were the first ones, who enabled the reconstruction of robes, which used to be reserved for authorities alone, and we revived them with most exquisite fabrics and finest handwork. Due to this ability we still enjoy an excellent reputation among connoisseurs and experts. That method paved the way and introduced a new definition of "historical clothing".
